Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Manufacturing and Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Technician 2 assists in processing human perinatal tissue products using aseptic techniques, according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Policies.
This position requires a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in processing necessary to produce and assess products for use in clinical research and clinical trials.
- Proficiently function within an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment, ensuring personal safety and product sterility.
- Consistently produce accurate and clear documentation of all procedures.
- Maintain required training and certifications.
- Perform and document autoclaving and manufacturing preparation activities.
- Help maintain the cleanliness and organizational standards of laboratory, including performing routine cleanroom cleaning events.
- Other related duties as they arise
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field preferred.
- Applicable experience in a clinical laboratory, hematology, blood banking, immunology, or preferably cGMP manufacturing site is required.
- Aseptic/cell processing and cleanroom experience essential.
- Ability to think strategically and tactically (detail-oriented) and possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaborative and influencing skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task is essential.
