Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Manufacturing and Manufacturing Supervisor, the Manufacturing Technician 2 assists in processing human perinatal tissue products using aseptic techniques, according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and Policies.

This position requires a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing necessary to produce and assess products for use in clinical research and clinical trials.
  • Proficiently function within an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment, ensuring personal safety and product sterility.
  • Consistently produce accurate and clear documentation of all procedures.
  • Maintain required training and certifications.
  • Perform and document autoclaving and manufacturing preparation activities.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organizational standards of laboratory, including performing routine cleanroom                   cleaning events.
  • Other related duties as they arise

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field preferred.
  • Applicable experience in a clinical laboratory, hematology, blood banking, immunology, or preferably cGMP                           manufacturing site is required.
  • Aseptic/cell processing and cleanroom experience essential.
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically (detail-oriented) and possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong collaborative and influencing skills and ability to work well in a cross-functional, matrixed environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task is essential.
